Description
Originally done in 1928, this is a painting of the Grand Tetons and Jenny Lake in Northern Wyoming. It is one of the few scenes in which L. A. Ramsey included animals. This painting was the central section of a triptych submitted to the Department of the Interior as an example of 3 National Parks to be painted in their building in Washington, D. C. (It was never done). The work was submitted as part of a competition. The panels would become screens in some kind of theater, the screens of which could be raised or lowered, possibly revealing other things.
